Do you have a serpentine belt? What is it?

Do you have a serpentine belt that drives everything on the front of the engine?

A serpentine belt is a belt along with all * small notches on the bottom.

Tool Belt

It goes around the crankshaft, the pulley of the power steering pulley, the role of air conditioning, and water pump pulley.

Damn!

It will probably be a lazy and definitely has a locking device.

The tensioner is just what it says.

And 'whatholding firmly to maintain the tension on the tape there.

It is not necessary to loosen the screws and detach a little 'to tighten that belt!

It 'a good idea to frequently check this band.

There is also a good idea to change them after about two or three years.

After all, if it slows down or slips and eats all the teeth, are running on battery.

o The generator does not work.

o You do not have power steering.

o The air conditioner stops cooling(If it is winter, who cares?).

But worst of all, the water pump does not work anymore!

The engine heats up so fast, you do not know what's going on!

Check the belt often.

While reviewing the tape, like a vision of the discs?

Above all, the sprocket and the tensioner.

o The best way to test for these roles is to remove the tape and turn it with a finger.

or replace When you hear a crackling noise * * it.

o If the pulley has a roughness * * on how you look at it, replace it.

Ok, you want to remove and check the belt.

How do you quit it?

On the terminal has a hole, well, not really a hole, but a square hole.

This is a slot 3 / 8 "or 1 / 2".

Some have a head screw 1 / 2 "to 3 / 4".

And then there are exceptions: how to check the tensioner can tell you what you have.

Enter the appropriateTool> on the screw head, or in the slot and pull the instrument.

If printing is not the right way down. :-)

In both cases, you must move the belt tensioner, in order to get the strap to one of the disks.

I usually have better luck removing the alternator.

However, if you have one of the roles, then the tensioner and the belt can be removed.

Be careful, Before removing the tape to the way in which it is linked to all roles.

It takes less than 5 minutes to remove the belt ... But it can take up to 5 hours to back it up properly ... a drawing or diagram of the study.

Some, and most vehicles have a diagram of the directions strip placed somewhere under the hood.

Can be used on the underside of the hood or on one side of the inner fender of the vehicle.

It is usually in a place that makes it almost impossiblefor you to see things as you try, the tape must be replaced. :-)

If one of the disks must be replaced, not a big problem.

Just remove the bolts or screws that held them on the engine.

Replace the same way.

Now, on the tensioner, there is a small hook on the back.

Align with the hole in the block ... And 'there in order to block the return on the right.

Replace the tape, and that is ... nix is!

Oh, was yourLable attack graph up-side-down? :-(

You did a good job, though, and I knew I could. :-)
